i'm not a piano player so i need to edit some of the midi parts afterwards. I record all drums / percs live as audio and would midi in piano, bass, strings etc. Seldom when i write to pic, i don't even set a tempo map, i play everything live…i love working this way, it's super fast and the music flows and feels very organic.
Maybe i'm used to the PT way where one can set playback start from ANYWHERE within the Edit window when editing audio or midi.
